Job Responsibilities
You will primarily work with supervision of environmentally hazardous activities and related tasks. In this position, it is important to balance the requirements of legal certainty with good service and response.
As an environmental inspector, you will make independent decisions and prepare and present cases in the environmental and building committee. You will have good opportunities to develop in your role as an inspector with us.
At the Environmental and Building Office, you will work closely with your colleagues as well as with other departments within the municipality. The work is rich in content and varied as our organization is small.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with several years of experience as an environmental inspector or other experience deemed equivalent. You have a relevant academic education in environmental and health protection and deep knowledge of environmental legislation.
It is also an advantage if you have experience or knowledge in other areas, such as chemicals or waste. The focus of the position can be adjusted based on your background and areas of interest.
The work requires that you have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
You contribute to the department's common results and enjoy working both independently and in a team. We expect you to be good at structuring your own work and taking initiatives as well as having good collaboration skills.
A professional and good response is an important part of the work to create good contact with the citizens and businesses whose cases you handle. The inspector role requires you to be able to make objective and factual assessments and to have the courage to set demands and make decisions based on your role as a public authority.
